It was a picture-perfect morning in Newport Beach, California, when Grace Charis stepped onto the first tee with one goal in mind: stick to the routine and let the swing flow freely. Nine holes later, she walked off the green having recorded her lowest 9-hole score to date.

Starting on the demanding par-4 opener, Grace pulled driver and delivered a crisp 245-yard tee shot down the left center of the fairway. Over the past six months, Grace has made subtle adjustments to her hip rotation and spine angle at address, which were on full display throughout the front nine.

“The biggest breakthrough for me has been trusting my tempo. When I don’t try to force distance, the clubface squares up naturally every single time.”

Laser Iron Play & Clutch Putting

Holes 4 through 7 were a masterclass in iron precision. On the par-3 5th, playing 142 yards over water into a gusting Pacific headwind, Grace stuck an 8-iron to within four feet of the pin, draining the birdie putt with absolute poise.
